ABSTRACT
In the article research conducted on individuals living in romantic relationship (N = 225) on entitlement and satisfaction from romantic relationship are presented. Research was based on three-dimensional concept of entitlement: active, passive, and revenge one (Piotrowski i Żemojtel-Piotrowska, 2009). Only revenge entitlement was related negatively to relationship satisfaction, and this relation was fully mediated by social exchange balance within relationship. Active entitlement was related to higher similarity to partner and lower disappointment from relationship, but passive entitlement was unrelated to assessment of relationship. All these findings was independent from the type of relationship (marriage or partnership). Results are discussed in relevance to former research on narcissistic entitlement and relational entitlement impact on functioning in romantic relationships.
