ABSTRACT
When carrying out experiments on implicit learning in artifi cial grammar learning paradigm researchers often develop and use new grammars. However, they do not necessarily pay attention to the relations between applied set of rules and effectiveness of the learning procedure. Here, we discuss the theoretical and methodological consequences of the relations’ analysis for implicit leaning studies. We propose and present results of sequentiality analysis by which six different grammars were compared. To assess the sequentiality of grammars, methodology of randomness assessment taken from random number generation studies was used. We observed differences in sequentiality between grammars, suggesting that this parameter should be taken in to the account when the artifi cial grammar experiments are planned.
